Mabel Phillips Wilbert Justin

MABEL JUSTIN TAUGHT IN BURNETT

A story (see clipping posted here) in the Sept 3, 1925, Tacoma Daily Ledger, shows Mabel Justin assigned to teach at Burnett School in Burnett.

Wikipedia says, “Burnett is an unincorporated community in Pierce County, Washington, United States. It is located just south of Buckley, Washington.” Mapquest says it is about two miles from Burnett to Wilkeson.

 

MILES

According to Google maps it’s about 148 miles from Wilkeson School to Custer School in Lakewood. And, Google maps says it is about 146 miles from Burnett School (which apparently is now South Prairie School) to Custer School. And, Google maps says it’s about 30 miles from Burnett to Custer School in Lakewood.

 

LINCOLN HIGH/UPS

Mabel Phillips Wilbert graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School in June 1917 and in  June 1919 from the College of Puget Sound (now the University of Puget Sound)

 

MARRIAGE

In February 2020, she, of Tacoma, and Fred Justin, of South Rainier, married. Thus, she became Mabel P. Justin, also known as Mabel Phillips Wilbert Justin.
